I was actually leaning against using BC Group in the early stages, even though I was hoping for some quick help. I was especially concerned with not working with someone face to face on more technical and functional areas. I was won over with the perfectly applicable comments and questions written in the requirements document that I had prepared for the initial meeting to give an idea of the work I was looking for. I could tell from the input and the first phone discussion that it wasn't going to be necessary to sit together through this entire project. I think the obvious focus on providing a better, and still stable application, is what I appreciated the most.
What made you choose BC Group as a solution provider for your Longview application?
I was in quick need of some development in a new Khalix application, and internal resources were extremely scarce.  One of the members of our development team had met Mike Proulx at the Longview Conference, and mentioned that I might want to try BC Group if I needed something quickly.
 
Describe the experience of working with BC Group and its consultants.
From a more functional/technical perspective, working with Mike Proulx was nothing short of fantastic.  I was amazed at how quickly he picked up on how the application worked, the changes I wanted to make, and the constraints that I needed to work within due to timing, impact on other systems, users, etc.  During both projects that I used Mike for, it always seemed he really tried to understand how the system was built, what it was intended to do, and why the code was written the way it was in order to find the best method to code the solution.  From an administrative perspective, the scheduling, invoicing, expectations, and communications via both phone and email have always been clear and concise. 
 
What is BC Group doing right?

Couldn't be happier with the whole process from initial communication to wrap up.  I really appreciate that Mike always focused on the core problem, without trying to add in bells and whistles that simply weren't needed.  I also very much appreciate his perspective as an outsider to the organization - asking the 'what-if' questions, just in case they made sense to implement.  During testing phases he would often check in on progress and help troubleshoot issues, though he was at another customer site working on other solutions.  His methodical and logical thought process was always extremely helpful - especially considering nearly all of our interaction was via email and phone.
 
How have you seen your business impacted by the services provided by BC Group?
The changes implemented have made the application more efficient for both the user population, and for the administration of the application.  The number of hours that the various little 'fixes' have saved me are pretty significant.
